An Exhortation for Young Christians

A Bible Verse from 1 Timothy with a young lady pointing to the verse
Call to a life of boldness for the young people

Set an Example: A Call to Young Christian Women

Living Boldly in Faith, Love, and Purity in a Confused World

Sister in Christ, have you ever been looked down on because you’re “just a young person”?This verse from 1 Timothy 4:12 reveals God’s deep concern for all His children—young and old alike. Your youth is not a disadvantage or a reason to hold back your passion for the Lord.

Instead of feeling small or inadequate, be empowered by God’s Word, which calls you—yes, you, dear sister—to set an example for other believers. Notice the virtues you are called to live out: love, faith, and purity.

1. Set an Example in Love

The enemy has worked tirelessly to confuse your generation about the true meaning of love. Today’s culture glorifies hookups and temporary pleasure, disguising them as real love. But don’t be deceived—God Himself is love.

Hold love in its highest form: selfless, pure, and anchored in truth. When you walk in godly love, you become a light to your peers, showing them what love truly means—sacrificial, patient, and eternal.

2. Set an Example in Faith

Faith has become something people mock. Entire generations have turned their backs on God, and reverence for Him has waned. Yet the Lord is calling you, right now, to stand as a living witness to His truth.

Your steadfast faith can spark revival in others. Be bold enough to pray when others won’t, to speak truth when it’s unpopular, and to trust God when everyone else doubts. You are never too young to make an eternal impact.

3. Set an Example in Purity

Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Protect it from being desecrated by the world’s false promises. Guard your appetites—because what you consume shapes you. Gate your eyes and ears so your mind and heart remain pure.

Refuse to let the enemy pollute what God made holy. Keep your focus on Jesus, not on things too vile to even look at. Remain pure at heart, allowing the Lord alone to be enthroned there.

All these virtues—love, faith, and purity—are under constant attack. But don’t let the enemy get to you. You are not too young to be a voice of reason, a vessel of light, and a beacon of truth in your generation.

Be bold, dear sister. The Lord has called you for such a time as this.
